OSCA Board 2025-2026Below are the Oklahoma School Counselor Association Board members. President Chelsea Hinkle, Middle School Counselor, Oklahoma City Public Schools chinkle.oksca@gmail.com “Chelsea Hinkle is a passionate and dedicated school counselor committed to supporting the professional growth and impact of school counselors across Oklahoma. She is entering her seventh year as a school counselor and currently serves students at Roosevelt Middle School in Oklahoma City Public Schools, where she leads a comprehensive, data-driven counseling program focused on equity, achievement, and student well-being. As the current President of the Oklahoma School Counselor Association, Chelsea is focused on expanding access to resources, advocacy, and community for all school counselors statewide. She has served in multiple leadership roles within OSCA, including Chair of the Awards Committee, where she has worked to elevate and celebrate excellence in school counseling. Under her leadership, OSCA was honored with the 2025 Pinnacle Award from the American School Counselor Association—a national recognition of outstanding programs and leadership. Outside of her professional work, Chelsea enjoys reading, spending time with her fiancĂ© Zach, and loving on their three mini dachshunds—Lyla, Maxwell, and Coney.” President Elect Dr. Petra Woodard, Executive Director of Counseling, College, and Career Readiness “Dr. Petra Woodard is the Executive Director of Counseling, College, and Career Readiness at Oklahoma City Public Schools. She previously served as the Executive Director of Academic Counseling and Alternative Education for the Oklahoma State Department of Education—a position within the Office of Student Support created to work alongside other state education agencies in serving the academic needs of secondary schools across the state. Prior to assuming those roles, she served as a high school principal, school counselor, and teacher working with students, staff and parents to accomplish the mission of preparing all students academically and socially for lifelong learning and achievement. As an Executive Director of OKCPS, she leads the district's school counseling, mental health, and career tech programs. Dr. Woodard is a member of the National School Counselor Association and serves as President-Elect of the Board of Directors for the Oklahoma School Counselor Association. Her passion is investing in others and empowering them to become agents of their own change. She and her high school sweetheart, Marcus, have been married for 35 years and are blessed with 3 children and 9 grandchildren. This year marks her 34th year in public education.” Secretary Alexis Robertson, Director of Student Services, Moore Public Schools, alexisrobertson@mooreschools.com “With 20 years in education—six years teaching mathematics and 14 in school counseling—Alexis now leads the Moore Public School's comprehensive counseling initiatives. She oversees professional development, strategic planning, and program alignment district-wide to ensure equitable and effective support for all students. As an ASCA National Model advocate, Alexis serves as a lead RAMP reviewer. As the sole counselor at Fairview Elementary, the program attained RAMP Treasurer Dr. Cheryl McGee , Associate Professor, University of Central Oklahoma, cmcgeeoksca@gmail.com “Therapist, educator, and counselor whisperer for nearly 20 years. Grad prof at UCO, champion of school-based mental health. Powered by ocean air, dog hair, and a midlife romance with gardening.”Member-at-large Jessica Hogaboom, Coordinator of Counseling Services, Union Public Schools, hogaboom.jessica@unionps.org “Jessica is an experienced school counseling leader, presenter, and consultant specializing in hope theory, student mental health, and educator well-being. As the Coordinator of Counseling Services at Union Public Schools, she develops and implements comprehensive counseling programs, mentors new counselors, and leads the district-wide implementation of the ASCA National Model. A passionate advocate for data-driven school counseling, Jessica presents nationally on topics such as hope theory in K-12 schools, comprehensive school counseling programs, student connectivity, and preventing educator burnout. She is also pursuing her PhD, where her research explores how hope scores can improve through classroom connectivity and Community Circles.”

Courtney Lewellen, Middle School Counselor, Shawnee Public Schools, clewellen@shawnee.k12.ok.us “I earned my BSE in Spanish Education from OBU and my M.Ed. in School Counseling from NSU. I taught Spanish for six years and have spent the last 19 years as a school counselor. All of my work experience has been with middle school and high school students in public and private school settings. I've been part of Shawnee Public Schools for 16 years, currently at Shawnee Middle School as the 6th grade Counselor.” Member-at-large Jennifer Sack, Secondary Counselor Coach, Tulsa Public Schools, sackje@tulsaschools.org “Jennifer Sack holds a Master’s degree in Counselor Education from the University of Tulsa and has been a state-certified K–12 school counselor since 1996. She has spent 14 years serving as a secondary school counselor in Tulsa Public Schools. An ASCA-certified College Admissions Specialist and Legal and Ethical Specialist, Sack was named the 2023 Oklahoma School Counselor of the Year and a finalist for the ASCA National School Counselor of the Year. Her greatest joy is being "Jenjee" to a beautiful granddaughter. She lives in Tulsa with her husband, two dogs, two cats, and is the proud mother of three adult children, all graduates of Booker T. Washington High School in Tulsa.”Member-at-large Tessica Taylor, Elementary School Counselor, Luther Public Schools, ttaylor.oksca@gmail.com “Tessica Taylor has been a school counselor for 14 years. She has worked at the elementary, middle, and high school levels and is currently the school counselor at Luther Elementary School. Tessica joined the OSCA board in 2023 and has previously served as the Secretary and Treasurer. She was also selected as the OK School Counselor of the Year in 2022. Tessica is also a Licensed Professional Counselor. When not working, Tessica spends time with her family on their family farm located north of Luther, OK.”
