Annual OSCA Summer Institute
Each year, the Oklahoma School Counselor Association hosts an exciting professional development opportunity in June.
The emphasis is on creating a comprehensive school counseling program using the ASCA National Model as its foundation. This event will help participants develop their specific program focus that will create goals in terms of student outcomes and that will center around the three domains of student academic, personal and social/emotional development.
Participants receive professional development points and CEUs.
The First OSCA Summer Institute
We held our First Annual School Counseling Institute on Saturday, August 1, 2015. Thirteen school counselors made history in learning how to use data and discovering the data points that are most impactful to ensure that students in Oklahoma graduate college and career ready. Rebecca Barry, Dr. Mary Waters, Dr. Bea Keller-Dupree, and Erica Harris co-facilitated the one-day Institute. Participants left feeling confident that they could develop an Oklahoma School Counseling Accountability Report (OSCAR). |
